![]() Noszferatu are a collective founded in 2000 with the aim of presenting the freshest faces of contemporary music within a broad, eclectic aesthetical outlook. The members of the group are all acclaimed soloists in their own right, working across a wide range of genres including contemporary classical, jazz, physical theatre, drum and bass, latin and tango. Since Noszferatu's debut at Oxford Contemporary Music in May 2001 the group has performed twice at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, frequently in the BMIC Cutting Edge Series and all over the UK. The group has also given concerts in the Netherlands and Italy, and in April 2007 performed at the Gaudeamus Young Composers Meeting in Apeldoorn, Holland. The group has worked wih a number of Britain's more maverick voices and has premiered works by Laurence Crane, Christopher Fox, Emily Hall, Paul Newland, Andrew Poppy, Jonathan Powell, Hilary Robinson, Luke Stoneham, Paul Whitty and Noszferatu members Dave Price, Finn Peters and Joe Cutler. The group are also commited to exploring collaborative links with filmakers, visual artists and choreographers.
